Job Summary

SUMMARY

The Commercial Credit Analyst is responsible for ensuring quality underwriting compliance and credit monitoring within the banks entire loan portfolio supporting new business development while applying credit risk policy. The Commercial Credit Analyst will also perform all required annual reviews on the Commercial Loan Portfolio. Responsibilities include operating within all policies and procedures adopted by the Board of Directors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with underwriting and financial updates as needed
  • Development implementation and maintenance of borrower risk ratings and credit
  • Ensure the overall portfolio is comprehensively monitored and controlled adhering to and administered within approved guidelines and in line with established operating policies and procedures
  • Ensure appropriate balance between customer risk and pricing
  • Provide loan processing support for the bank. This will involve documentation preparation and maintenance to ensure that all information is entered accurately as well as monitoring and maintaining the loans in process.
  • Maintain knowledge of current loan documentation guidelines for commercial loans to perfect the banks lien on the collateral.
  • Handle SBA loan monitoring payment processing and correspondence with our SBA servicing agent.
  • Maintain review and process insurance certifications and report tracking to ensure all collateral insurance is up to date.
  • Maintains independence and objectivity in carrying out job responsibilities
  • Track all financial statement tracking requirements on commercial loans by updating the system as new statements are received and preparing and mailing financial statement request letters as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does require supervisory responsibilities.

POSITION TYPE

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. This position may require long hours and weekend work.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local and during the business day

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a high school degree or equivalent
  • This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes computer skills communications skills as well as utilization of office equipment.
  • Self-motivated detail-oriented;
  • Ability to be flexible prioritize organize problem-solve and follow-up;
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional and personable manner;
