This role will cover a sales territory in Western Mass and Eastern NY
Essential Functions
- Develop and grow a defined sales territory through a combination of new business development and account management
- Plan and execute strategic sales calls with existing and prospective customers using CRM tools
- Identify customer needs and deliver tailored motion control and fluid power solutions
- Prepare and present proposals that clearly communicate value and drive results
- Build strong consultative relationships with customers becoming a trusted advisor
- Collaborate closely with inside sales engineering and customer service teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience
- Conduct on-site product demonstrations and Lunch & Learns with customers and vendor partners
- Partner with manufacturer representatives on joint sales calls and business development efforts
- Actively uncover cross-selling opportunities across divisions to expand customer partnerships
- Participate in ongoing product and sales training to continuously build technical expertise
- Proactively resolve customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction
Experience Education and Skills
- Bachelors degree or technical degree in Engineering Mechanical Electrical or related field (preferred)
- 2 years of outside technical sales experience (fluid power or industrial sales preferred)
- Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS) is a plus
- Experience with or knowledge of Parker products is a strong plus
- Understanding of hydraulic pneumatic electrical or mechanical systems and motion control applications
- Ability to identify specify and recommend solutions based on customer needs
- Strong communication relationship-building and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated results-driven and comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Some overnight travel will be required
