Key job responsibilities
Youll shape the technical direction and architecture of Kiro Autonomous Agent service. Working directly with customers youll uncover real-world development challenges and translate them into product capabilitiesstaying true to Amazons customer-obsessed approach. Youll build and operate production systems using industry-leading CI/CD practices ensuring Kiro Autonomous Agent maintains the reliability and performance our customers depend on.
Your responsibilities span the full lifecycle: from architectural decisions that define how an autonomous agent learns and maintains context to hands-on development of features that transform how software gets built. Youll balance innovation with operational excellence making technical choices that enable Kiro to work independently while meeting AWSs standards for scale and security.
- 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
- 5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Leveraging AI based dev tools building production software

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
