Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (Correctional)
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (21:00 08:59)
Contract Duration: 26 weeks
Location -Romulus NY
Job Description:
- Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals in a correctional healthcare setting.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Diagnose and manage patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
- Deliver nursing interventions including case finding health education counseling and supportive care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Consult with treatment teams prior to administering treatments and procedures.
- Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Graduate Nurses Licensed Practical Nurses and support staff.
- Participate in healthcare committees and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Schedule:
- Combination schedule including 12-hour and 8-hour night shifts
- Typical pattern includes overnight coverage
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State required
- Must pass a state-run criminal history background check prior to start (processing may take several weeks)
