Located in the historic township of Berwick Woodlands Park retirement village is more than just a workplaceits a serene beautifully landscaped community where your passion for gardening can truly part of our team youll help maintain and enhance the natural beauty of the village creating spaces that residents love to enjoy. The successful candidates will be required to deliver garden and ensuring the village is properly kept for the enjoyment of the to the Village Manager your duties will include:Looking after the shared garden spaces and general garden maintenanceMowing and whipper snipping Planting watering weeding spraying pruning and clearing leavesManaging green wasteKeeping tools and equipment in good shapeAbout youThe successful candidate will have the following:Demonstrated experience in gardening landscaping or horticulture (a minimum 3 years experience highly regarded)Current Australian Drivers LicenceRide-on mowing experience (highly regarded)Strong knowledge of native plants including selection care and propagationA genuine interest in assisting the independent living seniorsSkilled in pruning planting soil preparation pest and disease managementExperience operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment safelyAttention to detail and pride in delivering high standards of garden presentationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication skills for interacting with residents and staff in a friendly professional mannerKnowledge of safe work practices and commitment to workplace health and safetyLevel 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain one)Ready to Join the FunBecause youll be around our residents each day its important that you enjoy chatting with people and have a kind helpful attitude.
