Oaks Sunshine Coast Seaforth Resort are looking for a reliable and hands-on Gardener to support the upkeep and presentation of our landscaped areas on a casual basis.
This role is essential in ensuring the gardens grounds and outdoor areas of the property are maintained to a high standard creating a safe attractive and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The successful candidate will carry out routine gardening and grounds maintenance duties while working in a safe environmentally responsible manner.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Carry out daily gardening and grounds maintenance tasks in line with property standards.
- Maintain lawns garden beds hedges trees and outdoor landscaped areas.
- Operate gardening tools and equipment safely and professionally.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned maintained and correctly stored after use.
- Apply environmentally responsible gardening practices where possible.
- Identify and report any hazards safety risks or maintenance issues promptly.
- Keep work areas always clean and tidy.
- Support seasonal planting pruning mulching and general garden improvements as required.
- Comply with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and all relevant regulations.
Shift Details (subject to change):
- Casual posiiton
- Monday to Friday
- 7.00am start (flexible for the right candidate)
- Occasional weekend or public holiday work may be required on an ad hoc basis
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in gardening landscaping or grounds maintenance.
- Knowledge of safe use of gardening tools and equipment.
- Understanding of basic plant care lawn maintenance and garden upkeep.
- A strong awareness of Workplace Health and Safety practices.
- The ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
- A reliable work ethic with good attention to detail.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual outdoor work.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the overall presentation of the property.
- Horticulture or related qualifications are highly regarded.
