The Role
Were looking for a talented and motivated Tax Manager to join a fast-growing innovative professional advisory firm working with closely held businesses. TSS serves clients in the automotive retail construction manufacturing distribution and other for-profit industries. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated entrepreneurial CPA with a team mentality and strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. You will primarily be responsible for reviewing flow-through tax returns and coordinating directly with client support staff. Our position provides a unique opportunity for significant growth within our firm working directly with business owners and their financial professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in ongoing tax planning and coordination of client engagements.
- Conduct detailed and technical review of complex federal state and multi-state tax returns with an emphasis on flow-through entities
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with our team on client issues that arise and ensure deadlines are met
- Research tax law updates
- Research complex tax issues provide recommendations to the team and ensure compliance with regulations
- Assist in team technical skill development
- Continue to foster client relationships and serve as trusted advisor to clients business office staff by delivering superior services and timely responses
Requirements
- 5 years with a medium-sized public accounting firm preparing and reviewing flow-through income tax returns
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field
- Proficient in project management including scheduling budgeting client correspondence and research
- Strong attention to detail
- Integrity within a professional environment
Preferences
- Experience with CCH Axcess tax CCH Pfx Engagement
- EA or CPA certification
Location
