Job Summary:
The 340 Program Coordinator Serves as compliance expert on 340B Program details policies and procedures. The incumbent brings content expertise and knowledge surrounding the program elements deliverables and metrics including focus on compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Program Management 50%
Acts as the liaison with necessary affiliated departments to ensure 340B Program integrity.
Provides oversight and leadership from the Pharmacy department for the 340B Program.
Leads the organizations 340B oversight committee which includes members from senior leadership pharmacy compliance legal and finance.
Provides expertise with the 340B Program to staff and participants regarding ongoing compliance
Develops and maintains internal relationships (accounting legal national) and external relationships (wholesalers manufacturers contract pharmacies split-billing software vendors employee benefit pharmacy benefits managers PBMs and third-party administrator TPA vendors) as
Actively engages with senior leadership and participates in decision-making processes related to the implementation of new 340B processes.
B. Program-Specific Duties 45%
Ensures that policies and procedures are developed implemented and maintained according to organizational regional national state and federal requirements and guidelines and are approved by the institutions legal department.
Ensures ongoing training education and communication required for the 340B Program at the organization
Regularly communicates with all staff involved with the 340B Program to be sure that processes remain efficient and to address any problems or suggestions for improvement
Monitors and assesses 340B guidance and/or rule changes including but not limited to HRSA/OPA rules and Medicaid changes. Attends regular 340B trainings and shares lessons and hot topics with staff.
Routinely monitors industry publications and websites as well as the professional media literature and peers to ensure that the institution has the latest information regarding interpretations rulings suggestions and advanced ideas for improving participate
Responsible for ensuring that the annual HRSA recertification is completed within the allowable time frame
Responsible for ensuring that the HRSA 340B OPAIS is accurate for all organization entity
Responsible for ensuring registration of any new associated sites are within the allowable time frame.
Develops executes and documents self-audits of the 340B process. Coordinates and ensures remediation of findings
Conducts and/or coordinates an annual audit of all contract pharmacies.
Reviews any new 340B contracts in coordination with the Senior Director Compliance & Risk Management and legal counsel. Maintains all 340B contract
Ensures that reporting meets organizational regional national state and federal requirements/guidelines.
Utilizes appropriate financial metrics to assess areas of improvement.
Routinely communicates any questions issues or discrepancies with the appropriate authority.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in a medical setting
Program/Project leadership experience
Quality Improvement
Experience with policy and procedure process
Experience with managing an audit process
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with HRSA and the 340B program
Experience in community health or with underserved population
Certificates Licenses Registrations:
Valid State of Montana Drivers License in good standing
Current Montana Pharmacy Technician license and/or PTCB certification preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Standing bending sitting lifting required
Required to travel to different clinic locations
Ability to travel and use own personal vehicle. Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting seeing and reading signs traffic signals other vehicles etc. Travel occurs in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
Work is mainly performed on a computer up to 8 hours per day.

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry a laptop and other small items to walk short distances and drive a vehicle to satellite locations and conferences.
Ability to see details near and far recognize color differences and focus on fine details like small print and/or instruments required.
