Job Summary:
- TheLab Assistantwill support a variety of short- and long-term projects with minimal supervision from the Bacteriophage Scientist.
- This hands-on role involvesassistingwith project execution including the preparation of reagents and media for relevant assays.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in microbiology be proficient in basic laboratory mathematics and unit conversions andpossessskills in mediaand reagentpreparation.

Job Responsibilities:
- The key responsibilities of aLab Assistantinclude but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain a clean organized and safe laboratory environment.
- Conduct regular equipment validation and maintenance checks.
- Prepare media and reagents in volumesappropriate forweekly workload requirements.
- Assist the Bacteriophage Scientist in drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new protocols.
- Comply with SOPs batch records and controlled documentations
- Ensure compliance with cGMP regulations guidelines and safety procedures
- Collaborate with other team members to compile analyze and interpret data
- Maintain familiarity with current scientific literature and contribute to the process of intra/interdepartmental projects
- All other assigned duties
- Local travel (between sites):25% Less than 1 mile
Skills Required:
- Prior laboratory experience in microbiology biology biochemistry or chemistry.
- Familiarity withcreating mediaand reagents.
- Competency in essential laboratory techniques unit conversions pipetting weighingandserial dilutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel PowerPoint and Word.
Skills Preferred:
- Knowledge of Quality Control principles and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Experience in the usage ofan autoclave.
- Experience with Phage biology aseptic techniques and serial dilutions.
- Experience with media or reagent preparations
Educational Qualification:
- MINIMUM AssociatesDegreewith focus inBiology Microbiology Biochemistry or a related field;1year related experience.
Specific Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensureaccurate precise and reproducible data for scientific investigations.
- Strong analytical organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Results-driven and task-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Skilled in collaborating across departments to compile analyze and interpret data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Mustpossessa valid U.S. drivers license.
