Job Title: Strategic Partner Manager (Payments)
Location: San Francisco / Menlo Park CA (Hybrid 2 Days Onsite)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partner Manager to lead high-impact partnerships within the global payments ecosystem. This role is responsible for managing partner relationships end-to-end from strategy development and business case creation to negotiation execution and ongoing performance management.
The ideal candidate brings a strong strategic mindset broad payments experience and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels including cross-functional teams and executive leadership. This role requires operating effectively in a fast-paced ambiguous environment while leveraging modern tools including AI to enhance productivity and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead partner workstreams with key payments ecosystem partners including networks processors issuers and payment service providers
- Drive partnership strategy by identifying opportunities prioritizing initiatives and defining success metrics
- Structure and negotiate complex agreements including commercial terms technical scope performance expectations and data/privacy considerations
- Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional execution across Product Engineering Legal Finance Tax Operations and Marketing teams
- Develop frameworks and processes for partner selection prioritization and performance management
- Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels including executive leadership
- Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues
- Leverage AI tools for drafting analysis summarization and workflow optimization
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
- Experience structuring and negotiating commercial agreements including financial modeling and pricing
- Strong understanding of payments cost optimization
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in payments partnerships or related fields
- Experience managing complex multi-layered negotiations
- Strong ability to operate strategically in ambiguous environments
- Experience working with global partners and executive stakeholders
- Strong operational skills including goal setting metrics tracking and business reviews (QBRs)
- Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making
