Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partner Manager to lead high-impact partnerships within the global payments ecosystem. This role is responsible for managing partner relationships end-to-end from strategy development and business case creation to negotiation execution and ongoing performance management.

The ideal candidate brings a strong strategic mindset broad payments experience and the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels including cross-functional teams and executive leadership. This role requires operating effectively in a fast-paced ambiguous environment while leveraging modern tools including AI to enhance productivity and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead partner workstreams with key payments ecosystem partners including networks processors issuers and payment service providers
  • Drive partnership strategy by identifying opportunities prioritizing initiatives and defining success metrics
  • Structure and negotiate complex agreements including commercial terms technical scope performance expectations and data/privacy considerations
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps
  • Lead cross-functional execution across Product Engineering Legal Finance Tax Operations and Marketing teams
  • Develop frameworks and processes for partner selection prioritization and performance management
  • Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders at all levels including executive leadership
  • Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Leverage AI tools for drafting analysis summarization and workflow optimization

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority
  • Experience structuring and negotiating commercial agreements including financial modeling and pricing
  • Strong understanding of payments cost optimization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 years of experience in payments partnerships or related fields
  • Experience managing complex multi-layered negotiations
  • Strong ability to operate strategically in ambiguous environments
  • Experience working with global partners and executive stakeholders
  • Strong operational skills including goal setting metrics tracking and business reviews (QBRs)
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making
