Job Summary

As a Data Science Specialist reporting to the Head of Product Marketingyoullplay a meaningful role in transforming proprietary financial crime data into strategic insights thatdemonstratethe value of NasdaqVerafinsfraud detection and anti-money laundering solutions.

Youllthrive in this position ifyoureanalytical strategic and passionate about using data to fight financial crime while enabling business growth in a fast-paced high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze client deployment data to quantify solution ROI measuring fraud losses prevented efficiency gains and investigation time saved.

  • Leverage consortium data from 2700 financial institutions to produce industry benchmark reports and peer performance comparisons.

  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to create data-driven customer success stories case studies and presentation materials thatdemonstrateproduct effectiveness.

  • Monitor aggregated data toidentifyemerging fraud trends and money laundering patterns translating findings into thought leadership content.

  • Present analytical insights to customers and stakeholders in executive briefings quarterly business reviews and industry conferences.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors orMasters degree in Data Science Statistics Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in data science or analytics roles ideally in fraud detection AML banking or fintech.

  • Strongproficiencyin SQL and Python (or R) for data analysis and visualization.

  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to translate complex findings into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across marketing sales and product teams in a matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of financial crime concepts fraud detection methodologies and AML compliance.

  • Experience withbig-dataframeworks (e.g. Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS).

  • Background in creating executive-level reports white papers or thought leadership content.

This position willbe located inSt. Johns or Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
