Job Summary
AFGRI Group Holdings is looking for a detaildriven Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic Payroll team based in Centurion. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll professional who thrives on accuracy control and meeting deadlines and who wants to play a key role in ensuring seamless payroll processing across the Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for critical control functions endtoend payroll processing and all activities supporting accurate and compliant payroll administration.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Grade 12
- Certificate in Payroll Administration
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- 2 years payroll administration experience
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for:
- Accurate and timeous processing of monthly payroll in accordance with approved payroll calendars and internal controls.
- Effective execution of payroll control activities to ensure data integrity accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintenance of accurate payroll records employee master data and supporting documentation.
- Timeous and accurate processing of payroll inputs including salaries allowances deductions leave and benefits.
- Compliance with all relevant statutory and legislative requirements including UIF PAYE SDL and other payrollrelated obligations.
- Resolution of payrollrelated queries within agreed service levels ensuring professional and effective stakeholder engagement.
- Reconciliation of payroll reports and identification investigation and correction of variances.
- Support during internal and external audits by providing accurate payroll information and documentation as required.
- Adherence to payroll deadlines and contribution to continuous improvement of payroll processes and controls.
- Manage Bank Change Requests.
- Assisting HR and Management with specialised payroll calculations and explanations
- Processing all garnishee (Court Orders) and Maintenance orders
- Export confirm and submit standardised payment schedules and reports.
- Issue payslips IRP5s and necessary attachments as required.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES
- Microsoft Office
- Strong Excel skills essential
- Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage
- Knowledge of Payroll related systems i.e. SARS
- Numerical acumen
