Amazon Business Canada (AB CA) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Head of Public Sector Sales to drive Go-To-Market strategy for Education Government Nonprofit and Healthcare customers. This individual will manage an organization with ownership Public Sales while influencing the Marketing Tech category teams and other partners supporting AB. They will be responsible for defining the business strategy for Public Sector customers and coordinating with multiple teams to better understand and serve Canadas customer needs.

The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial innovative and excel at Thinking Big while also driving the day to day business of a large fast-growing company. Defining and implementing long term business strategies and products based on industry trends and competitive analysis as well as the ability to think outside of the box to solve complex problems are key to success.

You are a strong leader who can influence executives prioritize communicate clearly and compellingly and understand how to deliver excellent results within a strong and talented team as well as being able to drive change across other organizations. The role requires innovative thinking and a strong customer and quality focus.


Key job responsibilities
Senior sales leader who owns Go-To-Market strategy for Education Government Nonprofit and Healthcare customers while building and scaling org-wide initiatives including Managed Spend and RFx/contracting. You will manage an organization with ownership of Sales while influencing the Tech category teams and other partners supporting AB and are responsible for defining Public Sector business strategy to serve CA business customer needs.

Our customers include individual professionals small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between) from every industry vertical.

- Experience working with global and cross-functional teams across business development marketing operations product development and legal
- Experience managing people and leading a team
- Experience in business development/sales/sales-engineering/consulting (top-tier firm) preferably in the technology internet and e-commerce sectors

- 5 years of procurement experience
- Experience with MS Office Suite CRMs (Salesforce) and other systems
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders C-level executives and cross-functional teams
- Experience in identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes or experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company Amazons package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical dental vision prescription basic life & AD&D insurance) Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) paid time off and other resources to improve health and well-being.
