Knoxville Community School District is seeking qualified candidates for the following anticipated position for the school year:
Home School Assistance Program (HSAP) Program Coordinator
Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements and demonstrate the ability to:
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelors Degree or higher preferred
- Current Iowa Certificate with appropriate endorsement (or willing to obtain)
- Successful home school experience preferred
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage registration and enrollment of new students into the program
- Coordinate program classes and activities
- Provide educational planning and instructional workshops for families
- Set priorities for program growth and development
- Purchase or approve the purchase of resources equipment and supplies needed by the staff and program
- Prepare financial statements and maintain records pertaining to KHSAP activities
- Monitor implementation of program policies and practices
- Supervise KHSAP teachers; ensure teachers are appropriately licensed and are meeting the requirements for their positions
- Manage marketing and outreach to the community
- Coordinate program communications
- Create and maintain program records and reports
- Ensure the program is in compliance with Iowa law as pertains to home school assistance programs
- Collaborate with the district to promote opportunities for HSAP students
- Facilitate positive relations between the KHSAP team members other District staff and departments the public and the media
