Position summary:
As EHS Manager you are responsible for leading Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Fire Safety and Property Protection (FSPP) and sustainability programs at the plant. You ensure a safe healthy and compliant workplace while protecting the environment and company assets.
The role partners closely with Plant Leadership and Regional EHS to proactively manage risks embed a strong safety culture and deliver Ball Operational Excellence (BOE) EHS and sustainability objectives.
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead and deliver plant EHS FSPP and sustainability strategy in line with Ball BOE and regional requirements
- Drive a strong safety culture through BehaviourBased Safety nearmiss and hazard reporting and shopfloor engagement
- Ensure compliance with all EHS legislation permits and insurance requirements
- Manage hazard identification risk assessments and environmental impacts (waste energy emissions water)
- Oversee EHS incident reporting investigation root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Implement and maintain EHS management systems and certifications (ISO 14001 ISO 45001 etc.)
- Act as primary liaison with regulatory authorities auditors insurers and internal EHS stakeholders
- Coordinate EHS activities across Production Engineering Maintenance HR and Facilities
What were looking for:
- Relevant EHS qualification or Engineering degree with strong EHS management experience
- 5 years of EHS experience including at least 3 years in a leadership role within manufacturing or heavy industry
- Solid knowledge of EHS legislation behavioural safety and fire/property protection risks
- Experience with ISObased management systems and audits
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence leaders and frontline teams
- Fluency in English and strong MS Office skills
