Job Description:
1. Trade Lane Strategy & Growth
- Define and execute the Intra-Asia FCL trade lane strategy covering key corridors (India ASEAN India China India Korea India Japan India Middle East Asia).
- Identify new market opportunities sectoral growth pockets and customer segments to drive sustainable volume and revenue growth.
- Own annual volume revenue and margin targets for the trade lane.
2. Carrier & Vendor Management
- Lead carrier negotiations for space allocation long-term rate agreements and service reliability.
- Build strong partnerships with shipping lines feeder operators and regional partners to ensure competitiveness and capacity assurance.
- Monitor carrier performance on rates schedule integrity rollovers and service quality.
3. Pricing Yield
- Own trade lane pricing strategy balancing competitiveness with margin protection.
- Work closely with pricing and revenue management teams to optimize yield and contribution margins.
- Ensure adherence to rate discipline approval matrices and profitability benchmarks.
4. Sales Enablement & Key Accounts
- Act as a trade lane subject-matter expert supporting sales teams in solution design pricing discussions and large / strategic deals.
- Engage directly with key customers and global accounts to strengthen relationships and win long-term business.
- Collaborate with overseas offices and global trade teams to enable seamless end-to-end solutions.
5. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with Operations Customer Service Finance Compliance and Network teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Drive SOP standardization service quality improvements and exception management across the trade lane.
- Resolve escalations related to service failures capacity issues or customer commitments.
6. Market Intelligence & Governance
- Track market trends competitor activity rate movements and regulatory changes impacting Intra-Asia trade.
- Provide regular performance dashboards forecasts and strategic insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls governance frameworks and ethical standards.
