Job Summary
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer / OCI Cloud Engineer

Location India (Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai) Hybrid/
Role Summary
The OCI Engineer will be responsible for designing deploying managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role involves close collaboration with application database security and network teams to ensure highly available secure and scalable cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design provision and manage OCI resources including Compute Block/Object Storage VCNs Load Balancers and IAM
Implement network architecture (VCN subnets route tables security lists NSGs DRGs VPN/FastConnect)
Deploy and manage OCI Compute instances (VMs Bare Metal)
Perform OCI migrations (on-prem to OCI / cloud-to-cloud)
Monitor and optimize performance availability and cost using OCI monitoring and logging
Implement high availability and disaster recovery architectures
Manage backup restore and patching strategies
Ensure cloud security best practices and compliance standards
Support production issues incident resolution and root cause analysis
Create and maintain architecture diagrams SOPs and runbooks
Work with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines on OCI
Must-Have Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Expertise in:
o OCI Compute Storage Networking
o IAM Compartments Policies
o OCI Load Balancer WAF (good to have)
Experience with Linux/Unix administration
Working knowledge of Oracle Databases on OCI (DB Systems / Autonomous DB good to have)
Scripting experience (Shell / Python preferred)
Understanding of cloud security encryption and access control
Good-to-Have Skills
OCI certifications (Associate / Professional)
Terraform or OCI Resource Manager
DevOps tools (Git Jenkins Ansible)
Experience with multi-cloud (AWS / Azure)
ITIL awareness (Incident Change Problem Management)
Certifications (Preferred)
