About the role:
We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to lead the technical roadmap of our global media delivery this pivotal role you will bridge the gap between high-level Product strategy and technical execution serving as both the lead architectural designer and a primary individual contributor.
This position requires a Product Architect mindsetsomeone who can navigate the complexities of Android iOS and Web app environments while optimizing for the unique connectivity challenges of global streaming. You will be a hands-on leader collaborating closely with our Senior Product & Engineering teams to build robust high-performance low-latency solutions that define the future of our client-side video streaming & addressable TV advertising offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Architecture: Design scalable cross-platform architectures that ensure high performance across Android iOS Web and CTV platforms (WebOS Tizen etc.).
- Active Technical Leadership: Act as a lead contributor on the most challenging engineering tasks including core playback optimizations and CTV integration.
- Streaming & Edge Strategy: Architect event-driven low-latency systems specializing in HLS/DASH. Optimize for Mobile-First markets where bandwidth variability is a key factor.
- Tech Stack Leadership: Evaluate and select modern frameworks (Native vs. Flutter/React Native) and working experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) for optimal cost and performance.
- Security & Compliance: Design robust OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect and data privacy standards (where applicable) across all digital touchpoints.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Translate complex Product requirements into technical specifications for the engineering team while managing the CI/CD and DevOps strategy for automated multi-store releases.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Total Experience: 8 years in Software Engineering with at least 2-3 years in a formal Architecture role.
- Domain Expertise: Proven experience in the OTT Media AdTech sectors having architected systems that handle massive concurrent user spikes (e.g. live sports or major events).
- Education:E./ or M.E./ in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to both executive leadership and engineering teams.
- Backend & Client-side Playback: Expert-level Java/Kotlin (Server-side & Android). Deep architectural knowledge and hands-on coding of Swift (iOS) and JavaScript/CSS3 for web-based environments. Solid understanding of ExoPlayer internals AV Player and Web Players (e.g. Shaka) and integration with these players.
- Video Engineering: Strong command of HLS & DASH protocols ABR algorithms DRM systems (Widevine FairPlay PlayReady)
- Sound knowledge of Cloud-based Streaming workflows (Broadcast Stream ingestion Encoding Packaging) in AWS Elemental/Unified Streaming etc.
- AdTech: Experience with SSAI/CSAI architectures VAST/VMAP standards Programmatic/Non-Programmatic Ad Serving workflows is a must.
- OTT Ecosystem and App Interoperability: Awareness of deep-linking architectures and app-to-app integration within OTT ecosystems would be an added advantage.
- Cloud & Scalability: Experience in Cloud-native design microservices and serverless architectures within AWS Azure or GCP is highly preferable
- Observability: Proficiency with enterprise monitoring stacks like Datadog New Relic or ELK to maintain high availability is preferable
- DevOps: Experience designing automated CI/CD pipelines and signing workflows for complex multi-platform app distributions is preferable.
Physical requirements:
- INVIDI is a conscious clean well-organized and supportive office.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer are normal.
