We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer (MDM & Data Engineering) to join our team. This role will involve designing developing and maintaining enterprise data integration solutions while supporting Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in ETL development data warehousing IBM Cloud Pak for Data IBM Knowledge Catalog and data lineage tools along with a passion for transforming complex data into actionable business insights.

Job Title: ETL Developer (MDM & Data Engineering)

Location: Lansing MI (Hybrid Onsite Mon & Tue)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Possible Extension)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Developer to support enterprise-level data initiatives for a large government organization. This role focuses on building scalable data pipelines ensuring data quality and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and maintain ETL processes supporting MDM and enterprise data initiatives
Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable data architecture solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs reporting needs and data strategies
Develop and support data warehouses data marts and data lakes
Ensure data accuracy consistency and reliability across systems
Implement and enforce data governance architecture standards and best practices
Support migration of ETL workloads (e.g. IBM DataStage) to modern platforms
Design and develop dashboards reports alerts and analytics solutions
Provide guidance to business users on data usage and analytics
Troubleshoot data issues and optimize ETL performance
Work closely with cross-functional teams across business analytics and IT

Required Qualifications:

5 years of experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data
5 years of experience with IBM Knowledge Catalog including DataStage migration support
5 years of experience with IBM Manta (data lineage)
Strong hands-on experience in ETL development and data integration
Experience working in large complex enterprise environments
Strong understanding of:
- Data governance and data quality
- Data lifecycle management
- Data architecture principles and best practices
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
