Driver North-East Ukraine Kharkiv
Job Summary
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is reinforcing its presence in North-East Ukraine and establishes an Area Office based in Kharkiv. The Area Office North - East (AONE) will become a new area office scaled up from the current Kharkiv Field Office and will start being operational in the first half of 2026. The Area Programme Manager will take an active part in this scale up.
AONE will cover regions of Kharkiv and Sumy where current Field Office (FO) in Shostka will in first half of 2026 structurally move to be under new Kharkiv AONE.
The key sectors of intervention covered by the North-East area office will include Shelter Information Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) Protection from Violence Education and emergency response through cash assistance.
This position is open to candidates who have the legal right to work in Ukraine. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or visa sponsorships for this position.
Responsibilities
Role and responsibilities
The Driver is responsible for transporting NRC staff visitors documents and goods/materials to designated destinations when officially approved within an area country or other location.

report accidents breakdowns and needs of repair and general maintenance/service
the local traffic regulations and the NRC logistical/vehicle policies at all times.
the logbook for all trips.
the vehicle in proper operating condition at all times including keeping the vehicle clean ensuring enough fuel checking the technical state etc.
liaison with the line manager arrange for repairs and servicing.
the assigned vehicle has all the necessary documents and equipment.
logistical support during trainings and workshops.
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context phase of operation strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.
Driving the vehicle for delivery and collection of mails documents pouches equipment and other administrative tasks upon the request of direct supervisor;
To provide support to program teams in loading unloading and delivery humanitarian aids in the missions as required;
To accept the flexible working hours depending on mission requirements (overtime is reimbursed according to NRC regulations).
Provide clerical support to operational and programme activities;
Performing other duties as required.

the right to cross the border and driving experience abroad is appreciated.
