Job Summary
This role will be responsible for the accounting function as well as providing relevant support and decision-making information to other functions within the business for further optimization and efficiency
Key performance areas
- Preparing Monthly and Quarterly Management Accounts
- Assisting Financial Manager in preparation of Budgets and Forecasts
- Take full responsibility for the general ledger through to the trial balance
- Analysis of variances and to spot trends and improve company performance
- Preparation of daily weekly and monthly cash forecasts
- Liaise with Department Managers to prepare meaningful and value-added variance analysis
- Loading authorizing and approving bank payments
- Sales by product and user analysis
- Compile ad-hoc reports as requested
- Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet line items
- Manage the audit process with the external auditing firm
- Payroll management & administration experience required
- Working Experience with various banking platforms
- ERP Systems: Xero Microsoft Dynamics Sage Online QuickBooks
Qualifications and experience
- BCom/BAcc Finance/Accounting degree
- 3 years experience in a similar role
- SAICA/SAIPA/ CIMA membership or completed article clerkship
- Experience within the Tech or Hosting environment an advantage
