The Division of Operations and Maintenance within the Emory National Primate Research Center at Emory University is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Facilities Operations to join our team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish preventive maintenance program and ensure safe and efficient operations of building equipment including boilers HVAC systems & controls life safety systems and laboratory air & vacuum systems.
- Ensure that animal housing clinical and high containment spaces are maintained according to established standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains all facilities in accordance with OSHA standards and other federal and state guidelines and mandates.
- Manage contracts with outside vendors.
- Supervise and manage assigned staff and teams.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelors degree in facilities management or engineering and seven years general building/facilities maintenance experience OR professional credentials licenses or vocational diplomas and 10 years general building/facilities maintenance experience.
PREFERRED/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Substantial knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Office laboratory animal housing and biosafety level 3 containment facilities.
- Work schedule to be discussed during interview.

Updated COVID-19 vaccinations may be necessary for specific research projects.
