IMDS Engineer
Job Summary
About the position
Candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with International Material Data System (IMDS) regulations and guidelines for our products. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams including Design Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that our products meet the required IMDS standards.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure that all products are compliant with IMDS regulations and guidelines including data collection analysis and reporting.
2. Manage and maintain material data for all products including creation and updating of IMDS files and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
3. Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to ensure that products are designed with IMDS compliance in mind and provide guidance on material selection and substitution.
4. Identify and assess potential risks associated with non-compliance and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
Requirements
1Education: Bachelors degree in engineering Materials Science or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in IMDS compliance product design or related field preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of IMDS regulations and guidelines material data management and design for compliance.
4. Skills: Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
