Team Overview
The Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRocks portfolio construction asset allocation and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of BlackRocks index factor and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver precise investment outcomes andcutting-edgealpha insights. MASS constructs active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds separate accounts model portfolios and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently MASS manages over$2 trillionin assets and has a strong presence in the United States Europe and Asia Pacific region.

Position Summary
This role sits within MASSOutsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO)business which manages over $350B in assets for institutionalglobally.We are looking fora strategy-oriented analytically strong professional tojoin our teamat the intersection of investment strategyand business development.The candidatewill work directly with CIOs and senior stakeholders to shape how BlackRock articulates its OCIO capabilities to the market and winsmandates. In additionthe individual will be partnering with stakeholders onstrategic initiatives to drive deeper client engagement fortheoutsourcing business.
The candidate shouldpossessstrong analyticalwritingandcomprehendingskills as well as a demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with a wide range of partner teams and stakeholders. The successful candidate willpossessstructured thinkingoutstanding attention to detail excellent interpersonal skills and have a passion for thinkingstrategicallyon howtoposition BLKs OCIO capabilitiesacross client segmentsfor commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
Shape client and market strategy:Partner with CIOs andstakeholdersto refine BlackRocks OCIO value proposition across client segments(Pensions Family offices E&F healthcareetc.)anddrivestrategic projectsaimed atgrowing our business (e.g. benchmarking market intelligence etc.)
Drive mandate outcomes:Contribute directly to winning new business by craftingdifferentiatedinsight-drivenclient packsfor large institutional mandates
Own high-stakes client deliverables:Lead development ofclientmaterials(pitch decksfor mandatesRFPs RFIs DDQsetc.) crafting differentiated insight-drivenoutputstailored to client needs and aligned with firm positioning
Operateacross the platform:Collaborate withinvestment clientbusiness consultant relationsandmanager researchteams globally to align messaging ensure accuracy and deliver at pace
Generate competitive insights:Analyze competitors industry trends and win/loss data to continuously sharpen go-to-market strategy
Build scalableinfrastructure:Enhanceexistingcontentplatformand knowledge management systemsto improveefficiencyand consistency
Experience / Qualifications
35 years of experience in asset management preferably instrategy investment consulting or client servicing
Strong understanding of investment products (e.g. mutual funds ETFsSMAs alternatives etc.) investment outsourcing industry and client trends
Excellentcommunication skills (both written andverbal)stakeholder managementand project management skills
ProficiencywithMicrosoft Office suiteand RFP / content management software
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders under tight deadlines
Flexible responsive and self-starting personality. Demonstrated experience working both independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative global environment
Technical skills such asAI technologiesPower BI Tableau Python and SQL will be a plus
Postgraduate (MBA) from a premier business school
Progress toward CFA or FRM certifications is a plus

Our hybrid work model
