Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Assistant II will learn all aspects of production with mangos for Mission Produce. They will work side-by-side with the Managers Supervisors and Coordinators to ensure the mango department requirements are met to achieve Missions goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Managers Supervisors and Coordinators.

Create a plan for mango operation needs.

Assist in organizing setting up and leading mango repacks.

Cover upcoming mango department customer orders and forecast for future orders.

Assist in shipping and receiving operations by loading unloading packing and racking fruit.

Accurately complete and track daily reports.

Daily Inventory Status review for accuracy.

Daily communication with Mission operation teams.

Understand inventory levels cycle counts and FIFO procedures.

Effectively communicate order status and changes to and from QA Shipping Sales and Inventory teams.

Operate a forklift to stage fruit for QA inspection load ripening rooms dry goods inventory and all other duties as assigned.

All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills among the team and other departments.

Forklift experience.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability and willingness to follow standard operating procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.

Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Must have the ability to be flexible including holidays and weekends.

Display a positive attitude towards tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment from 34F 42F.

Ability to lift or move 25-50 pounds.

Ability to climb ladders.

Safely work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.

Ability and willingness to stand walk stoop kneel crouch/bend as needed to perform essential tasks.
