Your New Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Business & Proposal Manager to lead the Survey and Quote (S&Q) function within a complex ICT program in the Defence sector.


This is a highimpact hybrid role combining proposal leadership with project delivery accountability. You will be the focal point for customer Requests for Quote (RFQs) shaping compliant compelling responses and then transitioning seamlessly into delivery leadership once authority to operate is granted.

If you thrive at the intersection of commercial acumen stakeholder engagement and disciplined project execution this role offers real ownership and influence across the full lifecycle of customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Own the end-to-end Survey & Quote process acting as the single point of accountability for RFQs from receipt to submission.

  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs (engineering architecture commercial security delivery) to produce compliant costed proposals.

  • Ensure estimates schedules risks and assumptions are clearly defined and aligned with contractual and governance requirements.

  • Lead internal reviews and governance to deliver high-quality auditable submissions.

  • Transition approved proposals into delivery by establishing plans resourcing schedules and controls.

  • Manage delivery execution risks and stakeholder engagement to ensure outcomes meet scope cost schedule and quality expectations.

What Youll Bring to Make An Impact

  • Demonstrated experience in Proposal Management Bid Management or Survey & Quote leadership within ICT or Defence environments.

  • Proven capability in project managing approved work ideally within governed Defence or government programs.

  • Strong commercial awareness including estimating costing risk and assumption management.

  • Experience working within structured governance frameworks and gated approval processes.

  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams without formal line authority.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.

This role does requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an active NV-1 Clearance accompanied by the ability to be successful for a DISA.
