Job Summary
SUMMARY:
The Nurse Triage Supervisor acts as a point of contact for patients and families works as a triage nurse while supervising other triage nurses. This position assesses incoming telephone calls and messages from patients and families resolving patient needs and issues whenever possible including triage of acute conditions. The Supervisor works collaboratively with other team members to provide care management services in accordance with department protocols and algorithms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will be indicated by a nursing license and experience in medical / surgical or acute care setting; ability to communicate effectively and ability to work compatibly with physicians and other staff members.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move traverse position self remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day.
This is a hybrid role consisting of on campus and remote work. There will be a training period of up to six months of onsite instruction and role-related skill optimization.
