Job Summary

Description

Provides educational services to pediatric patients in the inpatient setting.
Provides individualized educational interventions at the bedside and through group instruction.
Coordinates curriculum plan with patients home schools when appropriate.
Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.
Knowledgeable in child development.
Adheres to respect patient confidentiality.
Participate actively in continuous improvement projects.



Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Education. Prefer one year of paid teaching experience. Knowledgeable and experienced to ensure understanding of infant/child/adolescent development. Analytical skills necessary to assess patients educational needs and deliver appropriate interventions. Ability to represent and communicate the role of a licensed teacher to others. Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively. Ability to work as a contributing member of the multidisciplinary team. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Skilled to effectively complete required professional documentation and correspondence. Valid teaching license required in the state the employee practices.


K-12 Licensure in State of MN Preferred.
Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs: American Heart Association American Red Cross or the Military Network Training.
