Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable School LVN/LPN to provide nursing care in a school setting. This role involves supporting students through 1:1 care working in the nurses office and floating between school sites as needed. The ideal candidate is flexible patient-focused and experienced in pediatric or school-based care environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to assigned students as required
- Deliver care in the school nurses office for general student health needs
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor student health conditions and respond to emergencies as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and reports
- Collaborate with teachers school staff and parents regarding student health
- Ensure compliance with school health policies and state regulations
- Float between different school sites based on district needs
- Support health screenings and general wellness initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active California LVN/LPN License
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (school or pediatric experience preferred)
- Strong clinical and assessment skills
- Ability to work independently in a school environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior school nursing or pediatric experience
- Experience with special needs or 1:1 student care
- Familiarity with school health protocols and documentation systems
