We are a part the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC) a global organization responsible for supplying medicines to markets around the world. With quality as our primary focus our group strives to provide access and affordability through innovation and collaboration with our Suppliers Quality Procurement and Site Partners to deliver life changing solutions for patients in need. IMSC Global Plannings mission is to ensure reliable product availability to our patients by applying leading planning processes across the supply chain.
The MRP Lead is responsible for ensuring availability of direct and consumables materials while improving processes to balance service level inventory and cost of materials. They convert the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the Detailed Schedule (DS) outputs into material requirements ensuring reliable material availability for production. They will lead S&OP meetings with their suppliers manage supplier order performance and lead issue resolution of material supply disruptions. The Lead is responsible for building strong supplier and internal relationships with cross-functional partners (e.g. Warehousing Operations and Quality teams). The Lead serves as an experienced team member responsible for driving MRP process standardization and continuous improvement and will onboard new team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop maintain publish and communicate materials requirements plans to ensure that patients and customers requirements are met
Maintain inventory levels within our goal while minimizing excess obsolete and expired materials and optimizing the balance between quality service reliability and cost
Execute site material inventory projections and lead analysis in actuals versus projections drivers
Partner with Global Procurement to drive Supplier performance improvement including quality and timely delivery in line with MPS
Lead S&OP meetings with key suppliers and drive process standardization and improvement for MRP team
Track and report site / platform level supplier service performance communicating the information to the relevant stakeholders and teams
Collaborate with Quality and Warehouse staff regarding rejected / defective materials making the physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure a timely return of goods or disposal
Own driving process adherence and execution of material master data updates to ensure accurate master data of material portfolio
Support and lead continuous improvement and digital journey of the Material Planning process
Drive improvement on key MRP metrics including but not limited to: Supplier OTIF Reliability and transactional metrics Inventory and SLOB targets
Support material and component life cycle management
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelors / University or equivalent degree is required; focused degree in Science Engineering Business Supply Chain or related field preferred
Certifications preferred: Supply Chain Certification (e.g. APICS) or Lean Certification
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required:
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
Supply Chain experience including planning manufacturing and/or logistics
Ability to lead multiple initiatives and work in a dynamic environment where priorities change rapidly
Highly motivated results driven and proactive while ensuring the optimization and efficient use of resources
Ability to effectively communicate complex scenarios to senior leadership with minimal guidance
Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and build strong collaborative relationships with people from different departments and all levels
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills able to translate insights into actionable decisions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint etc.)
Preferred:
Experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Biopharmaceutical industry or similarly complex regulatory dependent sector
Experience working with external partners (e.g. local or international suppliers authorities etc.)
Experience with SAP OMP and/or Ariba
OTHER:
Requires proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively and professionally; proficiency in German is strongly preferred
Requires up to 15% domestic and international travel depending on business needs
Requires the ability through our flexible work policy to work on-site a minimum of three days each week with the option for two remote workdays each week
