Production Support Analyst (Senior)

About the Role
The objective of the Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to investment and corporate banking units and their clients helping accelerate their transformation. GBSU differentiates itself through the pace of its agile transformation fostering a strong technology and data culture streamlining decision-making processes and adopting an industrialized approach by leveraging both transversal teams and business-aligned units.
This is a central and dynamic role where you will provide both technical and functional support for applications used by trading and risk analysts based in New York. Strong communication skills interpersonal abilities and knowledge of ITIL best practices are essential as you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining critical applications.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
You will be part of an IT feature team (Development and Support) working closely with a trading desk. Collaboration with developers will be key to delivering high-quality service to users and proactively preventing or resolving production incidents.
Your daily activities will include:
Performing morning health checks to ensure production stability before financial markets open
Managing and prioritizing user tickets through Unity
Responding to direct user inquiries and handling live production incidents using strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Conducting evening checks to ensure system stability before Asian markets open
Continuously improving processes and contributing to automation initiatives using tools such as Elasticsearch Kibana scripting bots and Autosys
You will also have the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise and gain financial domain knowledge through hands-on experience and collaboration with experienced professionals.
Profile
We believe that strong technical understanding leads to better support outcomes. Candidates are expected to demonstrate basic coding abilities.
Requirements:
Ability to write SQL queries
Ability to pass a basic coding assessment in a programming language of your choice
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an application support analyst
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven track record of driving continuous improvements and automation initiatives
Languages:
English (required)
French (preferred)
Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken) are required as the role involves regular collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders in the United States.
