Job Summary
Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator (Contract) is an entry-level mat leave coverage contract position providing administrative support to the HR Department. This role involves close collaboration with the HR Team reporting directly to the HR leader. You will support your respective region by executing HR processes and practices handling administrative tasks and providing support for assigned client groups regarding the interpretation of HR processes employee relations and legal adherence.
Job Duties
Update and maintain employee records and HR databases (Workday) ensuring employee profiles are accurate and up to date.
Prepare and process documentation for all employees in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Generate and summarize assigned reports including new hire/termination reports employee details and other ad-hoc Workday reports.
Prepare employee verification letters and job change letters as requested.
Assist in the acquisition process through onboarding and training support.
Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and resolve minor HR issues.
Participate in site-level initiatives and reporting activities to understand and improve employee engagement and retention.
Conduct and follow up on exit interviews to help reduce employee turnover.
Advise managers on the basic interpretation and administration of HR policies programs and procedures including benefits and RRSP/DPSP guidance.
Maintain the Discipline Tracker and follow up with management regarding outstanding or unsigned discipline letters.
Support operations with internal employee changes and prepare documentation as per the offer letter matrix.
Prepare Averaging Agreements/Arrangements in accordance with provincial Employment Standards ensuring work rules align in Workday and Agile.
Support operations with the preparation and documentation of Employee Repayment Agreements.
Draft assigned documentation and conduct employee file audits as requested.
Ensure compliance with all applicable provincial laws regulations company policies and management directives.
Requirements
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field of study.
Preferred 12 years of experience in a Human Resources or Recruitment coordination capacity.
Understanding and working knowledge of current provincial employment standards.
Experience working in a dynamic operational environment with the ability to re-prioritize tasks.
High attention to detail and a proven record of project execution.
Customer-focused attitude with an elevated level of professionalism.
A project management mindset and the ability to build professional working relationships.
Ability to travel as required (approximately 10%).

Demonstrated good judgment and a strong willingness to learn through assigned opportunities and professional conduct.
