Job Summary

Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - Hospitalist in Mt Pleasant MI

Join a dedicated team at a well-respected healthcare facility in Mt Pleasant Michigan. The facility offers a professional environment where patient care is prioritized and you will be part of a skilled team of four physicians managing hospital coverage. This position is available from May 1 to August 23 2026 with a flexible work schedule that allows you to balance professional and personal life.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide hospital call only coverage managing adult inpatient cases with ICU/CCU patients.
Handle 15-18 patients daily ensuring high-quality patient care.
Work in shifts of 12 hours following a seven days on/seven days off schedule.
Utilize Cerner for electronic health records during patient management.
Coordinate with other team members to maintain optimal patient flow and care standards.

Qualifications:

Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
Active Michigan medical license with clear standing.
Locally based in Michigan.
Clean malpractice history (highly preferred).
Submission of a self-query from the NPDB within 30 days of presentation.

License and Certification Requirements:

Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (required).
Active Michigan license (required).
