About the Role
The Human Resources Assistant supports the Human Resources team and other administrative departments with a wide range of clerical and coordination tasks. This role plays an important part in keeping daily operations running smoothly while handling confidential information with professionalism and care.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety works well independently and takes pride in providing excellent internal and external customer service.
What Youll Do
Youll support HR and administrative operations by:
- Maintain confidential employee files and HR records (electronic and paper).
- Support recruiting (job postings interview packets applicant/new-hire data entry).
- Prepare onboarding/orientation materials and enter new hires in HRIS.
- Draft letters memos reports and system-wide communications.
- Support Board of Trustees meetings (agendas packets minutes distribution).
- Answer phones greet visitors and route questions appropriately.
- Process mail invoices purchase requisitions and per diems.
- Register staff for trainings/conferences and assist with travel.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
What Were Looking For
Youre a strong fit if you have:
- High school diploma plus relevant administrative/office experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfort with computers data entry and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organization and follow-through; able to juggle deadlines and interruptions.
- Professional discreet handling of confidential information.
- Availability for evenings/weekends as needed.
- Able to perform light physical tasks (standing/walking; lifting up to 50 lbs; moving carts/materials).
