This position is 8 hours per day/260-day school year.
Purpose Statement:
The job of Title I Family Resource Coordinator is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the Director of Title I; coordinating assigned activities; preparing reports; maintaining records; and acting as liaison between the Director of Title I students staff parents private schools and other community agencies. This job reports to Director of Title I .
Essential Functions:
- Works with parents teachers and volunteers (e.g. locating learning activities disseminating information regarding parent involvement goals for tutorial services etc.) for the purpose of reinforcing student skills.
- Assists in reviewing Targeted Assisted and Schoolwide Grant documentation for the purpose of proper data collection compliance and audit requirements.
- Compiles information (e.g. Title I District Programs expenditure estimates etc.) for the purpose of operating the Title I Grant.
- Coordinates a variety of departmental activities and/or tasks (e.g. registration and travel information; age and grade level appropriate educational materials) for the purpose of delivering services in conformance to established guidelines.
- Maintains the Title I parent resource materials (e.g. Lightspan technology kits backpacks books teacher resources etc.) for the purpose of providing assistance and training to parents of Title I students.
- Maintains a variety of fiscal information files and records (e.g. Title I purchase requests vouchers purchase orders print requests mileage reimbursements student placement forms equipment inventory Title I rules/regulation manuals; budget documents etc.) for the purpose of providing an audit trail for compliance.
- Processes documents and materials (e.g. purchase orders vouchers budget updates mileagereimbursements etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
- Promotes Title I Ready 4 Learning programs within the community. for the purpose of
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties (e.g. staff parents students public agencies etc.) for the purpose of providing information facilitating communication among parties and/or providing direction.
Other Functions:
- Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
- Attends meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Supports Title I Director and department staff (e.g. compiling data; preparing reports; coordinating staff development activities; etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.

Skills Knowledge and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform basic math including calculations using fractions percents and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals write documents following prescribed formats and/or present information to others; and understand multi-step written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: concepts of grammar and punctuation and business correspondence formats; standard office equipment (including office application software); and personal computer operating systems.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities meetings and/or events; gather collate and/or classify data; and use basic job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize specific job-related equipment. Problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: maintaining confidentiality; adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; working as part of a team; working with detailed information/data; displaying mechanical aptitude; and working non-standard hours and traveling to onsite locations.
Responsibility
Responsibilities include: working under direct supervision using standardized routines; leading guiding and/or coordinating others; utilization of some resources from other work units may be required to perform the jobs functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organizations services.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling some stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 0% sitting 0% walking and 0% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
