TheManufaturing Engineering Specialist -Testing Digital and Data Acquisitionisresponsible for the developmentsetupmaintenance and applicability of the data acquisitionsystemarchitecturein the testing areasof FlorenceMassaandAvenzaplants. The string testinvolvechecking the operability the performance and the rotodynamic behaviour of Baker Hughes rotating equipment such as electric motors and generators gas turbines gearboxesand centrifugal compressors.

In is missionHe/Sheisalsoresponsibleto drive#Digitalizationoftestmethodologyandthe implementation of the related technologiesalong with development of data acquisition software.

AsTesting Digital and Data Acquisition Engineeryou will be responsible of:

• Design and setting up theDAS (data acquisition systems):check the correct functionality of the automatic measurement systems software interfaces calculations modules and data storage according to the test specifications and related documentation.

• Turbomachinelive data acquisition activities during test execution:data registration dataqualityand corrective actions in case of calculation errorspost processing andcorrectiondataanalysisfor live prediction ofanomalies on the tested equipment.

• Data post processingto get anomalies on the tested equipment notimmediatelyvisible.

• Data post processing to generate documents and certificates for the Baker Hughes customers that requires the test.

• Development of theDAS (data acquisition system) with regardstocalculation and analysis including software selection and verification of hardware measurement systemsdefinition of the data acquisition practice applied during the test.

• Development and verification of digital systems in the testing area including network and system segregations managementsystemsand servers.

• Manage relationships and meetings withEngineering and Information Technology departments.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Strong technical educationEngineeringdegreepreferred inthe fields of automation electronic energy telecommunication informatic or physics preferably with proven knowledge ofturbomachinerotodynamic and thermodynamic.

• Holisticdesign mindsetforsolutions that involve hardwaresoftwareand network equipment.

• Knowledge of the data analysis algorithms including the manipulation of large amount of data waveform analysis thermodynamiccalculationsand machine learning concepts.

• Competence in computer programming using one or more language such as: Fortran Python C#LabVIEWor PLC programming.

• Proven capacity of understanding technical drawing and specification.

• Competence in use of high precision measurement systems.

• Is preferred the knowledge of the industrial communication protocols.

• Work experience as software developer or system control designer for at least two years.

• Excellentcommunicationand presentationskills.

• Fluency in English and Italian languages andbe able to work in EU.
