Job Title:Copy Center Administrative Technician
Location:Copy Center (CHS)
Reports to:Chief Operations Officer

Summary:
The Copy Center Administrative Technician is responsible for providing a wide variety of reprographic and printing services for all CCS schools. The Technician must have excellent attention to detail coupled with good communication planning and time management skills. The position must be able to adapt and learn various desktop programs web-based applications and copier equipment and also demonstrate an aptitude for troubleshooting to resolve process issues.
Essential Functions:
- Operates troubleshoots and performs minor repairs on high-volume xerographic equipment printers and scanners.
- Acts as the primary technician for daily copier maintenance including changing toner fixing paper jams and cleaning machines.
- Processes complex high-volume print jobs from initiation to completion ensuring quality control and adherence to client specifications.
- Coordinates workflow prioritizes jobs to meet deadlines and operates binding and finishing equipment (e.g. laminating cutting folding).
- Works with the CCS IT Department as needed for troubleshooting installing new or updated drivers setting up IP addresses and managing digital front-ends (request forms badging software etc.).
- Coordinates with external vendors for equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Manages inventory of paper specialty stock toner and binding supplies ensuring necessary items are ordered and restocked.
- Coordinates with Human Resources and other departments for production of staff ID badges and coordinates with High School staff to support production of student IDs as needed.
- Interfaces with clients to explain services provide technical advice and ensure satisfaction.
- Reviews jobs for copyright compliance and proper formatting.
- Trains and directs the work of temporary staff or student workers on equipment usage and safety procedures.
- Manages job tracking and reporting on machine usage and generates any school/departmental billings in accordance with policy.
Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to perform technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills; operation of standard and specialized office equipment including utilizing pertinent software applications; preparation and maintenance of accurate records; planning and managing projects; read technical information; compose a variety of documents; analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions; satisfactorily perform general office and organizational tasks including business telephone etiquette concepts of grammar and punctuation and any required accounting/bookkeeping skills; ability to schedule a number of activities; gather collate and/or classify data; flexibility to work with a wide variety of circumstances; work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with data of varied types and/or purposes; problem solving to analyze issues and create action plans; independent interpretation of guidelines; adaptation to changing work priorities; communication with diverse groups maintenance of confidentiality; meet deadlines and schedules; priority setting participate as a team member; work with frequent interruptions.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and job-related experience with increasing responsibility are required. Customer service experience required.
Physical Conditions and Nature of Work:
- The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling (at least 50 lbs.); and significant fine finger dexterity.
- Generally the job requires 50% sitting 10% walking and 40% standing. The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
- May experience prolonged periods of standing.
Evaluation:
The Administrative Technician is evaluated by the assigned administrator.
Contract Length:
12 months/260 unless specified for a different length and will be discussed during the hiring process.
