Job Description
EFC continues to expand and in addition to its HQ in Nyon Switzerland it also has a hub in London. Further hubs are planned including one in Warsaw Poland.
As EFC continues to grow in terms of members services activities and events the volume of financial transactions managed by the Finance Operations Department is increasing significantly with year-on-year growth expected to continue across all entities including the overseas hubs and the newly established EFC Foundation.
In this context the Finance Coordinator will play a key role in supporting daily finance operations across the wider EFC Group including ensuring accurate timely and compliant processing of all UK-based transactions.
Based in London and working closely with the central Finance Operations team in Nyon this role will take day-to-day responsibility for the accounting activities of EFCs UK entity including transaction processing coordination of accounts payable and receivable monthly closings and maintaining high-quality financial records. The position will also provide administrative and operational support to the London hub contributing to the smooth functioning of local activities and facilitating coordination with EFCs wider European operations.

Core Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and working closely with the Finance Operations team in Nyon the successful candidates responsibilities will be wide ranging and by being responsible for EFC UK accounting function will include (but not be limited to):
- Managing the day-to-day accounting of EFCs UK entity ensuring all transactions are processed accurately timely and in line with internal policies and UK statutory requirements.
- Processing supplier invoices through Continia Document Capture coordinating approvals with London hub staff and ensuring payments are executed according to due dates.
- Managing inter-group recharges.
- Posting and reconciling bank transactions including multi-currency movements and supporting treasury follow-up.
- Supporting monthly and annual closings for the UK entity including balance sheet reconciliations accruals prepayments and other period-end entries.
- Preparing supporting documentation for consolidation into the EFC Group.
- Preparing UK VAT returns and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements in coordination with external local advisors when necessary.
- Assisting with overseas VAT recovery procedures.
- Managing the year-end audit for the UK entity and providing support for other EFC Group entities ensuring that all requested financial information is accurate complete and delivered in a timely manner.
- Maintaining organised accounting records and ensuring documentation meets internal audit tax and compliance standards.
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of financial processes across all EFC hubs ensuring consistency with Nyons operation.
- Providing general administrative and operational support to the London hub including coordination with suppliers office service providers and local stakeholders.
- Assisting with logistical and administrative aspects of UK-based events meetings and operational activities.
- Supporting the Senior Finance Manager and the broader Nyon based Finance Operations team with monthly and annual closings for other EFC Group entities including balance sheet reconciliations accruals prepayments and other period-end entries.
