Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP / CF) Full-Time Skilled Nursing Watkins Glen / Montour Falls NY
Pay: $35.96$50.08/hour
Schedule: Full-Time Days Preferred 8:00 AM4:30 PM Rotating weekend coverage
Location: Watkins Glen / Montour Falls New York

A respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation provider in the Watkins Glen / Montour Falls NY area is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its care team. This role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with speech language cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in a collaborative patient-centered setting. Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform speech language cognitive and swallowing evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Provide skilled therapy based on physician referrals and patient needs
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
- Document evaluations treatments and patient outcomes accurately and on time
- Educate patients families and caregivers on treatment plans and safety strategies
- Collaborate with providers nursing staff and rehabilitation team members
- Supervise rehab aides in accordance with state guidelines
- Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education
- Support high-quality person-centered care across the rehab program
Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
- New York State SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- CFs welcome
- CCC-SLP preferred for experienced candidates
- Skilled nursing rehab long-term care or post-acute experience preferred
- Strong communication organization and time management skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to assist with lifting and moving patients
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
