Job Summary
Core Responsibilities
- Linen Processing:Sorting washing drying folding and ironing linens towels and blankets following manufacturer instructions and hotel standards.
- Stain Treatment:Inspecting all linens for stains and treating them using appropriate commercial cleaning products.
- Equipment Maintenance:Operating washers and dryers safely cleaning lint traps and reporting maintenance needs to management.
- Inventory Control:Monitoring inventory of laundry cleaning supplies and notifying management when supplies are running low.
- Housekeeping Support:Keeping the laundry room linen closets and storage areas clean organized and sanitary.
- Guest Interaction:Maintaining a friendly professional and helpful demeanor when interacting with guests.
Qualifications
- Experience:At least 1 year of experience as a laundry attendant housekeeper or in a similar role is preferred.
- Physical Stamina:Ability to consistently lift 2035 pounds or more and stand/walk for the duration of the shift.
- Knowledge:Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and laundry products.
- Education:High school diploma GED or equivalent is typically required.
- Skills:Strong work ethic attention to detail and good organizational/communication skills.
