Assignment Length: 8 to 12 weeks
Pay Rate:$18.35 per hour
Work Location: Onsite Corpus Christi Texas
Schedule: Standard business hours flexibility may be required

Job Summary

The Program Support Specialist provides operational and technical support to the center staff while assisting customers participating in workforce development programs. This role plays a key part in monitoring compliance supporting customer engagement and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting in alignment with program requirements.

Essential Functions

• Review and examine compliance reports to ensure alignment with program guidelines and requirements
• Monitor customer contacts and communications ensuring required participation hours are tracked and documented accurately
• Coordinate and file required documentation within customer case files
• Participate in customer hearings and submit appropriate documentation to relevant parties
• Identify opportunities to improve workforce services and support evolving labor market needs
• Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of workforce development programs and services
• Proficiency with word processing spreadsheets and general computer technology
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving critical thinking organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including accurate documentation
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with management coworkers board staff and the public
• Ability to develop strategies and practical solutions in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid drivers license with proof of insurance and a safe driving record
• One year of relevant experience preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally and includes standing sitting bending and walking throughout the workday. Visual acuity speech and hearing are required. The role is primarily office-based with occasional driving and travel. Flexible hours may be required.
