Position: Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II
Location: Cincinnati OH 45237
Duration: 6 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Thursday Saturday 06:00 PM to 06:00 AM
Summary
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II is responsible for providing electrical mechanical and controls support to maintain troubleshoot and improve automated production equipment. This role ensures equipment reliability minimizes downtime and supports continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards including LOTO confined space and hot work procedures.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions related to electrical systems guarding and safety interlocks.
- Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform preventive maintenance and adjust maintenance schedules as needed.
- Maintain availability of spare parts for critical equipment.
- Train and mentor production associates on proper equipment operation and maintenance.
- Update and maintain equipment SOPs and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency quality and reliability.
- Participate in Lean and PPI continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work across various environments including production floors labs cleanrooms and mechanical spaces.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 5 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for automated equipment sensors motors servos and pneumatics.
- Experience with production equipment in manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical skills including disassembly repair and reassembly of equipment.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Working knowledge of mechanical electrical pneumatic lubrication and automation systems.
- Basic computer skills including Outlook Word Excel and CMMS systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments.
- Technical certification in mechanical electrical or industrial maintenance.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (pharma/biotech).
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with industrial construction repair and maintenance practices.
