Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (BC/BE) Urologist to join our surgical and clinical this role you will provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients with diseases and disorders of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. You will work in both outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital settings performing advanced diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Diagnosis: Evaluate and treat a wide range of urological conditions including urolithiasis urinary tract infections (UTIs) incontinence and male infertility.
- Surgical Intervention: Perform specialized urological surgeries ranging from minimally invasive procedures (e.g. cystoscopy ureteroscopy) to major operations (e.g. prostatectomy nephrectomy).
- Urologic Oncology: Manage the diagnosis and treatment of cancers of the kidney bladder prostate and testes often collaborating with oncology and radiation teams.
- Patient Consultation: Provide thorough consultations explaining diagnostic results surgical risks and postoperative recovery plans to patients and their families.
- Continuity of Care: Manage long-term follow-up for chronic urological conditions and monitor postoperative patient progress.
- Administrative Compliance: Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system ensuring compliance with all medical and legal standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Urology.
- Licensure: Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted State Medical License and active DEA registration.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) by the American Board of Urology (ABU) or equivalent.
Preferred Skills
- Experience or fellowship training in a subspecialty (e.g. Robotic Surgery Urologic Oncology or Pediatric Urology).
- Strong surgical acumen with a commitment to utilizing the latest minimally invasive technologies.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating within a multidisciplinary surgical environment.
