Psychiatrist
Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (BC/BE) Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health this role you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations medication management and crisis intervention for a diverse patient population. You will collaborate closely with social workers therapists and primary care providers to deliver integrated patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations including diagnostic assessments and mental status examinations.
- Treatment Planning: Develop implement and monitor individualized pharmacological and therapeutic treatment plans for acute and chronic mental health conditions.
- Collaborative Care: Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide consultations to primary care and specialty medical staff.
- Patient Advocacy: Educate patients and their families on diagnoses treatment options and long-term wellness strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Crisis Management: Provide emergency psychiatric assessments and intervention as needed within the clinical or hospital setting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited program.
- Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Psychiatry.
- Licensure: Must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted State Medical License and DEA registration.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Psychiatry by the ABPN or an equivalent board.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with specific population e.g. Child & Adolescent Geriatric or Substance Use Disorders.
- Proficiency in specific Electronic Health Record system e.g. Epic Athena.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborative team-based care.
