Position Summary:

Lead and support program evaluation and research efforts working with local education agencies and non-profit organizations. Person will contributemostlyto work done as part of theTeam GEAR UP evaluation with the Milwaukee Public Schools and theMicrocredentialDevelopment Project with the Higher Education Regional Alliance.Employeewill also contribute to other projects as needed.This will include study design stakeholder engagementfield workreportand manuscript writing and presenting results. This work will include both formative and summative work that involves survey design and analysis logic modeling and both qualitative and quantitative methods. Duties:

  • Collects and analyzes basic research data conducts experiments and interviews and documents results according to established policies and procedures

  • Manage partnerships with Milwaukee community organizations and schools

  • Conducts literature reviews prepares reports and materials anddisseminatesinformation to appropriate entities andassistswith publications

  • Assistswith the development ofevaluationmethodologies and procedures

  • Identifiesconcerns andrecommendsolutions to leadership

  • Assistin developing grant applications and proposals to secure funding

  • Data Analysis (qualitativeand quantitative)

  • Study Design

  • Field work and data collection efforts

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership
  • Trains individuals and groups on equipment operations research protocols and techniques within a specialized laboratory or research area
  • Assists in developing grant applications and proposals to secure research funding
  • Collects and analyzes basic research data conducts experiments and interviews and documents results according to established policies and procedures
  • Assists with the development of research methodologies and procedures
  • Conducts literature reviews prepares reports and materials and disseminates information to appropriate entities and assists with publications

Department:

The Office of Research and its staffare responsible forcentral research administration oversight of research policyand compliance and internal research development programs. The Office is part of The Chancellors Office andincludes the Office of Sponsored Programs the Office of Undergraduate Research as well as several research
centers.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in program evaluation education psychology sociology applied research public policy orotherrelatedfield.

  • Evidence of working a minimum of 5 years with K-12 schools to support their implementation of the GEAR UP program.

  • Evidence of working with post-secondary institutionsin the development of Micro credentials.

  • Demonstrated effective writing and presentation skills asevidencedfrom application materials.

  • Evidence of strongorganizationalskills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Evidence of successful independent project management

  • Evidence of working with a variety of K-12 stakeholders

  • 5years of experienceworking productively with the Milwaukee Public Schools.

  • Demonstratedtrack recordof contributing to publications and presentations at conferences.

Compensation:

$80000-$115000(Final salary offer will bedeterminedbased on qualifications and experience)

Education:
