Position: Summer Door Monitor
Position Type: Part-time Temporary
Department: ESY Summer Program and Summer Success Program
Location: Hosmer Elementary School
Reports to: Director of ESY and Summer Success
Affiliation: Non-Aligned
Salary range: $18.25 per hour
General Description:
The Door monitor will assist teachers in providing an innovative high-quality education program designed to meet the needs of the children in the Watertown Public Schools. Door Monitors will work with school staff to create an educational environment in which quality and continuity are key factors in educating the students of the Watertown Public Schools.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the arrival and dismissal of students.
- Monitor the front door and visitor pass program.
- Unlock lavatories and maintain a log of student use.
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Principal.
Qualifications Required:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of experience working with young children
- Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment
Preferred:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree.
- Experience working with adolescents.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural/multi-ethnic setting.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit stand walk talk hear operate a computer hand-held learning devices and other office equipment reach with hands and arms and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
