Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Practical Nursing Instructor for the Henderson/Chester County Instructional Service Center.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing required. Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years.
Preferred Qualifications
B.S.N preferred
Teaching experience preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Deliver classroom laboratory and clinical instruction in accordance with the Practical Nursing curriculum and Tennessee Board of Nursing standards.
Confer with administration to gain knowledge and better understand changes in policies procedures and technologies.
Develop lesson plans instructional materials and assessments that support student learning outcomes.
Select or develop teaching aids demonstration models multimedia visual aids and reference materials.
Maintain accurate student records including attendance progress evaluations and clinical performance.
Responsible for student placement and assisting with studentfollow-up.
Cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; establish and maintain good public relations with the institutions general public.
Participate in the recruitment of students.
Participate in curriculum development program evaluation and accreditation activities.
Supervise students in clinical environments ensuring safe and effective patient care practices.

Demonstrate a commitment to staying current in the nursing field.
