The Supervisor of Nursing CICU oversees and directs unit activities and personnel under the guidance of the Nurse Manager Director or Executive Director. This role ensures high-quality patient care in a 27-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) specializing in pre- and post-operative cardiac patients heart failure cardiomyopathy and advanced cardiac support (IABP Swan-Ganz CRRT TTM DKA Pacemakers Severe Sepsis Respiratory Failure).
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff fostering a safe and patient-focused environment
- Plan organize and coordinate CICU activities to ensure efficient cost-effective care
- Assist in overseeing unit operations staff scheduling and patient care standards
- Ensure compliance with ANA Nursing Administration Scope and Standards of Practice
- Promote teamwork professional development and high-quality patient outcomes
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- At least 2 years of recent clinical experience in a specialty area
- Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse experience
- One professional certification in a related specialty area
- Masters Degree in Nursing
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
