Job Summary
Role
The EVP/GM role is designed as the senior operating executive of the business accountable for day-to-day performance and execution but not enterprise governance or ownership decisions. Primary responsibilities include:
Full operational leadership across fabrication and manufacturing activities
P&L execution against board-approved budgets
Safety quality delivery and productivity outcomes
Leadership of functional and site-level leaders
Translation of strategic direction into executable operating plans
The role reports to the CEO/President (or owner-representative) and does not carry independent governance authority.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Operations Leadership
Lead all engineering fabrication manufacturing and logistics operations across the business
Integrate shop production scheduling and logistics into a cohesive operating system
Drive consistent performance across safety quality schedule adherence productivity and margin
Establish operating cadence KPIs and accountability across all functions and locations
Financial & P&L Accountability
Own execution against approved budgets and operating plans
Improve margin discipline through cost control throughput optimization and risk management
Partner closely with Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis on forecasting working capital management and cash flow predictability
Identify performance gaps early and take decisive corrective action
Organizational Scale & Leadership
Build develop and hold accountable a strong second-tier leadership team
Clarify roles decision rights and escalation paths to reduce friction and bottlenecks
Professionalize performance management talent development and succession planning
Reduce reliance on informal or owner-centric decision making
Process Systems & Discipline
Standardize project delivery fabrication workflows and other processes
Identify and implement systems and tools that support scale without unnecessary complexity
Drive continuous improvement across safety quality productivity and risk management
Executive & Owner Partnership
Translate ownership strategy into executable operating plans
Proactively surface risks capacity constraints and investment needs
Serve as a trusted operating partner to the President / CEO
