Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all maintenance activities for the production facility.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure the longevity of machinery and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify issues or areas for improvement.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance personnel and tasks to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations providing training as needed.
- Manage maintenance budgets and service contracts with outside vendors.
- Work closely with production teams to understand equipment needs and address any issues that may arise.
- Prepare reports on maintenance metrics identifying trends and proposing solutions for improvement.
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices to enhance maintenance processes.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a maintenance management role preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems hydraulics electrical systems and HVAC.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Experience
- 5 years of experience in a maintenance role with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience with nonwoven fabrics or a related textile manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience conducting training and mentoring employees in maintenance best practices.
